The Natural has no dye in it whatsoever. It's the natural color of the mink and cashmere fibers spun together.

The yarn has wonderful properties. Knitting stimulates a slight blossoming of the mink and cashmere fibers, yet the yarn remains completely stable. If you prefer more loft in your yarn consider washing before or after knitting to achieve the full blossoming effect. Washing and care instructions are included with your yarn. Our goal in developing this yarn was to provide conscientious knitters an alternative to sacrificing minks order to enjoy the natural beauty and physical properties of the minks fibers. The fibers we harvest by shearing minks is more valuable as a renewable resource to the farmer than individual pelt; we have spared countless minks. I traveled to China in August 2008 to develop the yarn properly. I formed a partnership with the owner of a cashmere firm in Inner Mongolia. This was extremely expensive but the right thing to do. I can assure you the entire process is quite humane. The minks are sheared once a year in the warm summer months. The shearing process only takes a matter of seconds. It's amazingly quick, zip zip and it's done and the minks are back on their feet running around. The farmers livelihood depends on healthy minks, they are treated extremely well.
