Product Description
This lovely brunette is the Yak's natural un-dyed color. Try holding this yarn in direct sunlight to appreciate the complexity of the color.
Completely natural, not treated in any way. You may notice a slight spinning oil residue which is easily removed with a rinse or wash. Spinning oil is commonly used to reduce friction when spinning. You'll notice an enormous difference in the softness before and after washing or even just rinsing.
This yarn is woolen spun. With this spinning technique the fibers go every which way, trapping air and allowing the fibers to blossom creating a lovely soft halo. Projects knit with woolen spun fibers tend to be warm and soft. Woolen spun yarns are notoriously difficult for getting both the gram weight and exact yardage correct at the same time.
Spun to our specifications, our Yak yarn comes directly to you from our partner mill in the western part of Inner Mongolia. Our yarns are sold mill direct at deeply discounted prices on our website. Our extra-virgin natural yak is truly an exceptional value for a luxury yarn
